What is ThaiCraft Friendship?

ThaiCraft Friendship offers information, benefits and some privileges to all ThaiCraft Fair customers who register as Friendship members. You may take part in a points accumulation reward scheme based on the value of your purchases at ThaiCraft Fairs.

What benefits do I get?

- Points scheme. Points are awarded on your purchase totals at ThaiCraft Fairs which can be accumulated and exchanged for gifts and services or in part payment of specified products as may be offered by ThaiCraft Fair Trade Co. Ltd. from time to time.

- Friendship activities. You may take part in activities and events organised exclusively for members, such as artisan tours, presentations and social gatherings, product previews, or receive extra services at ThaiCraft Fairs.

- Information and news. ThaiCraft will keep you informed about its activities, producer partners, craft and other products and Fair Trade advocacy.

How does my membership benefit village artisans and Fair Trade?

Your support as a regular ThaiCraft customer and participation in Friendship activities will help to encourage artisans to
- preserve their craft skills and traditions,
- grow and improve their businesses successfully and
- follow Fair Trade principles of good working conditions, fair pay and
proper care of resources and the natural environment.

How does the points scheme work?

You will be awarded one point for every 25 Baht you spend at ThaiCraft Fairs. Each time you make a purchase, give your code number (usually your mobile phone number) or ThaiCraft Friendship card to the cashier who will register it on your receipt.

ThaiCraft will send you information on exclusive ways to exchange your accumulated points. Points have no cash value and cannot be used to discount your normal purchases.

How can I apply?

Application forms (available at Fairs and on the ThaiCraft website: Download pdf file here:English | Japanese) should be fully filled and submitted in person to the Friendship Desk located near to the cashiers. You will receive an acknowledgment letter and your purchase total at that event (only) will be registered for your first points.

How much does membership cost?

For now, there is no joining or membership fee for any customer other than having purchased products at the ThaiCraft Fair at which they registered. You are requested to answer the application form in full. ThaiCraft might introduce a joining fee for new members at a later date.

Do I get a Friendship Member’s card?

Yes. When applying, ThaiCraft will try to have your card ready for collection at the next ThaiCraft Fair. If you do not have your card when paying for crafts, you will still receive points providing you can tell the cashier your membership code (usually your mobile phone number).

What are the conditions?

Please read the following conditions relating to the ThaiCraft Friendship scheme:

1. ThaiCraft Fair Trade Company Limited (ThaiCraft) is the sole operator of “ThaiCraft Friendship”, which is a market promotion scheme. The benefits provided are entirely at the discretion of the company only and can change or be cancelled at any time.

2. One person cannot hold more than one membership code and benefits, including points, are not transferable to other members or non-members.

3. Benefits, including accumulated points, have no statutory value other than what is being offered by the company at any one time. The company holds the right to withdraw any or all benefits from any or all members at any time without explanation.

4. ThaiCraft has the right to

a) determine the terms of membership

b) grant membership only to those who fill in the application form correctly and in full

c) change any conditions of the scheme or to end the scheme without notice

d) be the sole arbiter in any dispute concerning the scheme

e) terminate the validity of points as soon as any member ceases to be a member

5. ThaiCraft will normally use the following means to make contact with Friendship members: SMS (via mobile phone), email, Internet (via social networks) and postal delivery. If at any time a member prefers not to be contacted in any particular way, they may instruct the Company accordingly.

6. ThaiCraft Fair Trade Company Limited operates a privacy policy that assures that personal information obtained, including contact details, will not be given, sold, rented or used by any party other than ThaiCraft Company itself, its sister travel company, Phu Phiang Co. Ltd. and the related non-profit ThaiCraft Association.
